Like most companies, the Newz Group team has been working remotely for the past couple of months. Working from home can be lonely, and it can be hard to adjust to not being the office. But there are some benefits to not being in the office, like being able to listen to your music however loud you want. We asked our team to put together Spotify Playlists of their favorite songs they have been listening to here lately.

Check out these playlists if you are looking for some new music or you want a peak into our minds.

Brad Buchanan: President of Newz Group

“Actually I am more of an album rock guy, but these are a few favorite songs.”

Ian Buchanan: Vice President of Newz Group

“So I guess as far as work goes I like to listen to softer instrumental jazz or classical. It’s the typical ‘study’ music. I also like to listen to video game sound tracks. They are melodic and repetitive, so not very distracting.”

Scott Buchanan: General Counsel

“OK you said WORKING jams.  Going to throw in a mix of the spectrum from mellow (reading caselaw) to jammy (plowing through a spreadsheet) and from new to old artists.”

Sarah Frieling: Director of Customer Service

“Really my choices are all on my list of favorite songs that I was listening to every day in the office before we started working from home and include many of my favorite artists. Although I did try to include ones that at least some people other than myself might enjoy, and I focused somewhat on ones with titles that could be considered quarantine/pandemic related.”

Amy Fritz: Director of Operations

“I like my playlists to serve as my life soundtrack.  Right now I need that anthem vibe or just something to break up the day and allow for a mini dance party.  Also, Radiohead is always a requirement.”

Jenn Langdon: Business Development Director

“Free warning: my daily playlist is always a hot mess and always involves at least some Fred Durst. For this, I just ran down my YouTube mix for the day and then cut out all of the death metal (You are welcome). Also, Radiohead is always a requirement.”

Jordan Inman: Digital Imaging Specialist/Creator

“I’ve been listening to Fiona Apple’s new album “Fetch the Boltcutters”, and songs by The Beach Boys are always on my playlists, “In My Room” by The Beach Boys seems oddly relevant as of lately! Also, I’ve been digging Leon Bridges, his songs like “Texas Sun” and “Coming Home” are so calming for me. I’ll also give a shoutout to another favorite band, Wild Nothing and the song “Foyer”!!!”

And there you have it, some of our staff’s favorite jams. If you want, follow our Spotify as we add more staff member’s playlists!
