Beyond MU Columbia, Missouri is home to the Missouri Press Association, two other Colleges, Newsy, and other journalism adjacent and support businesses. It makes sense for America’s largest newspaper archiver and monitoring company to be in a city with such a storied foundation in journalism. However, Newz Group not only monitors media in our backyard, but our scope also extends far and wide across America.

Traditional Newspaper/print monitoring has been a staple of American culture since around the Civil War and predates technology like the internet and even public adaptation and use of the telegraph. Because of these roots, even today traditional print monitoring is mostly sold on a state-by-state basis.

Traditional Newspaper/Print monitoring is the foundation of all of Newz Group’s services and is our specialty. Rather than relying on newspaper websites for our print coverage sourcing, all print content we monitor is sourced from actual newspapers and read by humans. Newz Group works directly with press associations across America to archive and monitor member newspapers and publications in a state. This allows our clients to get content from every Press Association member newspaper in a state, even if the publication has little to no online presence. Newz Group has partnerships with Press Associations across America, giving us sole monitoring access to thousands of newspapers in our primary network states.

Newz Group’s primary print monitoring network is in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kentucky, West Virginia, and South Carolina. All the newspaper content from these states is read, processed, and archived in-house by Newz Group. Altogether, this equates to about 37% of American newspapers that are in publication today. However, Newz Group works with print monitoring bureaus across the nation to get our clients content from throughout the United States in one convenient place.
